Frank Hyatt

Director of Mission Development

As Millwood’s Director of Mission Development, Frank oversees several key areas of the company’s culture and care — including Safety, Human Resources and Chaplaincy. His role is to help ensure that Millwood’s mission is lived out daily through its people, its policies and its purpose. Frank’s work reflects his deep belief that the heart of Millwood’s success lies not only in what it produces but in how it serves — with faith, integrity and love.

Frank’s path to Millwood began in the late 1990s when he was working at a distribution center in Ohio. Around that time, Millwood co-founder Chip Trebilcock had landed the pallet contract there. “Upper management described Chip as a man of God,” Frank recalls, “and they said he reminded them of me because we both love the Lord.” That introduction was the beginning of a connection that would eventually shape the next chapter of Frank’s life and career.

Through his church, Faith Family Church, Frank met another Millwood employee, who was working with Chip and managing pallet operations. A few years later, after Frank left the distribution center to explore new opportunities, he was told that Millwood was looking for a plant manager for its Youngstown operation. “What drew me was simple,” Frank says. “I knew the owners loved Jesus and loved people.” That was more than enough to convince him to join the team.

Over the years, Frank has held several leadership roles within the company, always focused on helping people grow spiritually, personally and professionally. He describes his current work in mission development as both a calling and a privilege. One of the things that excites him most is seeing lives changed through the influence of Millwood’s Christ-centered culture. “The most exciting thing to me is when people come in contact with Millwood and they see and feel Jesus,” he says. “Team members getting born again at Millwood events or through a one-on-one conversation with a chaplain — that’s the best part. Even seeing family members being ministered to when the storms of life come, knowing they have a refuge and fortress in Jesus.”

Frank is also deeply proud of Millwood’s growth and progress in safety. “Safety awareness continues to grow, and that means our team members are going home safely to their families. That’s what matters.”

When asked what sets Millwood apart, Frank doesn’t hesitate. “Definitely the love of Christ,” he says. “Millwood cares because He (Jesus) cares. We model the servant leadership of the Lord Jesus and tap into His grace and wisdom to serve our customers.” For Frank, that love is the foundation of every part of the company’s mission — from how Millwood serves customers to how it supports Team Members across the country.

Frank credits God’s grace for every success he’s been part of during his time with Millwood. “Only by God’s grace have we been able to co-labor together to help make Millwood the company it is today. Praise God.” His leadership and outlook are grounded in scripture, particularly Matthew 6:33 — “But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” — and Colossians 3:17 — “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”

When he’s not at Millwood, Frank loves to photograph sports, using his camera as another way to be salt and light to the people he encounters.

Frank Hyatt’s life and work reflect the same message he’s carried for decades: serve faithfully, lead with love and let every person who comes in contact with Millwood see the love of Christ in all we do..
