Vice President of Sales
- Lee Evans III
Lee Evans III serves as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Millwood, where he provides strategic leadership to the Sales and Marketing Teams while supporting the organization’s commitment to excellence, growth and service.
With a career at Millwood that spans more than two decades, Lee brings unmatched experience, operational insight and a deep understanding of the company’s mission to his role.
Although Lee’s father was Millwood’s second salesperson ever and worked for over 43 years in the pallet industry, Lee’s journey with Millwood did not begin in sales, but rather as a part-time laborer in 1997 at the former Youngstown, Ohio operation.
“I was too young to drive a forklift or use a nail gun, so I got all of the jobs that no one else wanted to do. I wasn’t at the bottom of the ladder—I was looking up at the guy on the bottom.”
In 2003, after graduating from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science in Management, he started in a full-time role as an Inside Sales Representative and has served in nearly 20 different positions during his time at Millwood including roles in Regional and National Sales, Sourcing, Plant and Regional Operations Management, Sales Management and now in Executive Management as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
“When I started at Millwood, my only goal was to do a good enough job to earn a role in ‘outside’ sales. I never dreamed that my journey would take me through so many different roles and responsibilities all while allowing me to learn from such a wide variety of outstanding people at Millwood.”
This diverse path has given him a meaningful perspective on how each part of the business functions and how each Team contributes to Millwood’s success.
For Lee, Millwood’s mission is not a statement on a website. It is a lived commitment that shapes how the company treats its customers, partners and Team Members every day. The authenticity of this mission continues to inspire him and reinforces why he has dedicated his career to Millwood.
Lee leads with humility and a service-first mindset. He believes leadership is about empowering others, fostering collaboration and creating an environment where people can thrive and succeed together.
A principle that guides him is captured in one of his favorite quotes, “There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.”
Lee lives in McDonald with his wife, Jenna, and two daughters.
